Our Gallery Rods are a reproduction of the Charles and Henry Greene
distinctive square hand mortise and tenon curtain rods. Adapted from the
Prestigious Greene and Green homes along the Arroyo in Pasadena California.
Keeping to the tenant of form following function, a hard wood dowel pins the
rod to the bracket to prevent it from sliding. Curtains hang gracefully from
the gallery rods.
The Gallery Rod blends beautifully with many décor such as Asian, South Western, and of course the Arts and Crafts styles. We offer the Gallery Rods in Unfinished as well as a custom choice of many stains and natural finishes to enhance the beauty of the selected exotic hardwoods. Gallery Rods are available in many standard lengths listed below as well as custom lengths to meet your decorating needs. Rods over 95 inches may require a center bracket for added support.
The overall length of the rod is determined by measuring the width of the window opening and adding 4 1/2 inches per side for a sum of 9 extra inches total. The Gallery Rods can be mounted to drywall, wood as well as many other surfaces. A plastic molly and a #10 x 1 1/2" screw is included with each bracket which is suitable for light weight tab curtains.
